We're pleased to offer an exceptionally clean and legendary 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STi for sale. This 22B is number 314 out of 400 RHD Japanese market cars, and one of a small list of cars that have since been imported into the USA. With just 5,000 miles (8,247km), this is one of the lowest mileage examples in the world.
The 22B was created to celebrate Subaru's 40th anniversary, made as a homologation special for their cars competing in the World Rally Championship series. Changes made to the regular Impreza included wider fenders, an adjustable rear wing, hood scoop and vents, Bilstein performance suspension, larger brakes, a larger 2.2L turbocharged flat-four engine, and WRC style front and rear bumpers.
This 22B is fully original, finished in World Rally Blue, with black and blue cloth/alcantara styled interior. Gold 17" BBS wheels are dressed with Dunlop Direzza DZ101 tires, 235/40 front and rear sizing. All-wheel drive operation, right-hand drive, 5-speed manual gearbox, and adjustable locking differential. The 2.2L turbocharged flat-four EJ22G engine is estimated to have between 300-320bhp, with a 4.3 second 0-60mph time.
The 22B is regarded as the holy grail of Subaru. With only 424 estimated examples released worldwide, this is an incredibly rare example, this particular one being in near perfect condition with very low usage.
