Ford introduced the exclusive model in the second half of 2005 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the company's start of a four-year domination at Le Mans (1966 - 1969). The car - one of the last to be built - is wearing a Heritage Blue and Epic Orange paint as a throwback to the JW Automotive/American Gulf Oil-sponsored Ford GT racers.
This particular car is one of the 200 units Ford allocated for Canada and just like all the others it has a mid-mounted V8 5.4-liter supercharged engine with 550 bhp (410 kW) and 500 lb-ft (677 Nm) of torque sent to the rear axle through a six-speed manual transaxle gearbox. This hardware setup grants the supercar with a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in around 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).
