Sold: 2014 McLaren P1 HDK (Chassis 223)
We are pleased to announce the sale of this 2014 McLaren P1 HDK, chassis 223, a low-mileage example of McLaren’s hybrid flagship that followed the F1 in the brand’s modern performance lineage. Finished in black over an Orange/Black LM interior and showing just 1,250 miles, this meets the brief for a collector-grade, late-model hypercar with meaningful technical development and clear significance within the marque’s history.
This P1 was specified with the High Downforce Kit, a package conceptually linked to the McLaren F1 HDK and produced in very limited numbers for the P1, with only nine cars planned. The HDK’s deeper front splitter, side skirts, and fixed rear wing give this a more focused aerodynamic profile while preserving road usability. Underneath, the factory powertrain has been upgraded to the 4.0L Cosworth-developed V8, increasing output to approximately 1,000 bhp and 1,050 Nm of torque through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, maintaining the model’s already strong performance envelope with a more developed engine specification.
